How unsubscribing works

Want off a sender's list?

Reply to their email with one word: STOP.
That's it — you're off their list.

Every email prepared with MailBook ends with this footer:

“Don't want these? Reply STOP and you're off the list.”

It isn't decoration. It's the deal MailBook senders make with their list: if you say stop, they stop.

What the sender has to do

When your STOP reply lands, the sender must take you off their list the same day — no more emails from that list, no follow-up asking why, no adding you back later.

MailBook can't press the button for them, and there is no form on this page that removes you — on purpose. MailBook never sends email itself. The person who emailed you wrote the email here, then sent it from their own mail app and their own address. Your reply goes straight back to that person, and they're the one who has to honor it. Anyone who keeps emailing after a STOP isn't following MailBook's rule — mark the email as spam in your mail app and move on.

Why there's no big central list

MailBook is a tool people use to write to their own list — their customers, past buyers and warm leads, kept on their own device. There's no shared database of recipients here, nothing to look you up in, and nothing for a stranger to buy. Each sender has their own list, so each STOP is handled by the sender themselves.

The sender's name and mailing address ride at the bottom of every email they prepare, right under the STOP line — so you always know exactly who wrote to you.
